Well my backyard studio is almost finished. I finished painting the door and doorway yesterday, and the carpet was laid today.

There’s some touching up, and cleaning up needed due to my needing to rush the painting so it was done before the carpet was installed. I will do this stuff in the weekend.

All that’s left now is getting the electrical done, and it’s for the most part finished.

I have some guitar wall hangers to install, and I then will move all my stuff in.

I took the day off work today to get stuck into the painting. The inside is now almost finished

I have painted the ceiling, the skirts and architraves around the door and windows, and applied the first coat to the walls.

Now I just have to apply the second coat to the walls, which hopefully be enough, and paint the door and door frame.

Then it’s on to painting the outside timber parts.

I finally have started on painting the studio. The undercoat is for the most part finished.

Why do I say “for the most part finished” you ask? Well, it’s because I ran out of the rotten stuff half way through painting the ceiling! Yes, I got all of the walls done, and trust my luck, I ran out near the finish line.

Oh well, you can’t really see it in the picture below. I’ll finish off the undercoat tomorrow.

Well construction is pretty much complete now. Architraves and skirting done, and sealing on the external sides of the windows and doors done.

I’ve picked out some paint and carpet now, so hopefully that will all be done over the next couple of weeks. Then it’s just the electrical, and moving stuff in.

The plaster board is all done, and cornice up.

The door is now on, but definitely needs a coat or two of paint!

Skirting and architraves go on tomorrow. Sealing around the door and windows should be done too.
