First gig this week!

I’m really excited as this Friday is my band, Sewerside Show’s first gig. I haven’t played on stage for 4 or 5 years, but I don’t feel nervous (yet). The vocalist and I had been writing and composing for about a year, and in the last 7 months have solidified a 4 piece lineup.

I feel that I have composed some of the best music I’ve ever written so I think that’s why I’m so pumped for the show. To finally get out there and play the music we have been working on will be very satisfying. 

The whole project started with the vocalist advertising on a local Australian music forum looking for others that might like to start a “rock/punk edge (up tempo) band”. From this we have written a bunch of music that is quite diverse, and has punk, metal and alternative rock influences. We’ve got 8 originals, and we are throwing in a Nine Inch Nails cover as well, so hopefully the crowd digs it.
