Hello,

I use the Boss MT2 as a boost pedal only through a 1977 jmp 100w head. Sounds GREAT! Has an awesome 80’s metal/hard rock sound! What kind of audible difference would it make by modding the mt2 and using it as a boost. Also, ive been comparing the sd1 to the mt2 as stock boost pedals. I like the clarity of the sd1 which has descent gain, but I like the drive and gain of the mt2, but would like it to have a little more clarity (which the clarity is pretty good in the mt2 but just slighty less than the sd1 With the sd1 you can hear the notes ring out a little better when playing chords. Would it be better to mod the sd1 for more gain or to mod the mt2 for more claity, less harhness, better eq? Remember im only using these pedals as a boost to my semi distorted amp. Thanks ~ Al

  Hi, sorry for the late reply. i think you might find that the modifications to the MT-2 may give you some more clarity and a cleaner tone. Certainly wouldn’t hurt in any case.
