Quinnamp Dirt & Ernie Dirt side YouTube demo
I got my new webcam yesterday, and after band practice I thought I might shoot some simple demos of the Quinnamp Dirt & Ernie I received a little while back. The Dirt & Ernie is a distortion (Dirt) & clean boost (Ernie) in one. Based off the MXR Distortion+, the Dirt & Ernie in Dirt mode has some great classic crunch tones that move into fuzz territory the further you push the gain knob. The Ernie mode is a great clean boost that gets louder and kicks in some light grit at the top ends of the pedal range.
In this Dirt side demo I play bypass, gain at 9.00, 12.00, 3.00, and full-on. I’m using the clean channel of my Blackstar HT-5 head, running into a 1×12″ cab loaded with a Celestion Vintage 30. The guitar is my custom strat with maple neck/fretboard, stainless steel frets, alder body, Hantug Custom Guitars titanium and brass bridge and EVH Frankenstein Humbucker.
I’ll try and shoot a quick Ernie (clean boost) side demo shortly. Keep an eye out for the full review coming soon.
