The Charvel build project – part 2

So it’s been a long time since I made the initial post about embarking on the Charvel build project, but finally here’s the first update! The Musikraft body and neck arrived yesterday, and look great!

The figure in the flame maple looks fairly reasonable, so hopefully with some practice on some test pieces of  timber I’ll be able to make this look brilliant!

I received the aniline dyes for this project a few weeks ago. The plan is for the top is to use black and red dyes to make the flame pop. Hopefully I’ll be able to pull off some fake binding, and the back and sides I’m thinking brown.

I also have a black Floyd Rose from a Charvel Pro Mod waiting to be installed once everything is done. Man I really hope this comes out good! Stay tuned for more updates…
